If you’re flying and are not able to walk around in the aircraft or if you have circulation problems, it’s a good idea to purchase and wear a pair of compression socks to avoid swelling or blood clots. Inexpensive compression socks can be purchased in drug stores found in the hosiery aisle.

September 2010: This month in the news, is about an amazing Frenchman, Philippe Croizone. Philippe was injured in a work related accident leaving him without arms and legs. April 2010: A Wheelchair Accessible Park for children, designed by Philanthropist, Gordon Hartman has been created in San Antonio. The park features a wheelchair accessible swing, an accessible sand box, and a variety of other activities for children of all abilities. September 2009: AbilityTrip’s own, Darren Brehm, was featured in an article for his work on the 2016 Chicago Olympic Bid.
