Know your battery
If flying with a motorized wheelchair or scooter, bring documentation that describes whether the device is powered by a wet, dry, or gel battery. The battery type determines whether the battery must be removed for transit in the airplane (gel typically does not need to be removed).

Playa Del Carmen has been one of our favorite destinations. Everything from the flight into Cancun, to the wheelchair accessible transportation, site seeing, and resort accommodations went smoothly and as planned. It was one of the most relaxing, carefree journeys we have taken in a while.
